I was devastated to hear you announce that you are standing down as leader of the Party, I know you do this for the love of your Country. You have the love and utmost respect form your Party members and supporters alike and we think that your treatment by the right wing press and media has been abominable.
I was overcome by your brilliant, passionate and inspirational speeches made during the campaign and would just like to thank you for all you achieved, I know you will continue to make a difference in the world.
I hope you will find peace and contentment in the rest of your life with your lovely wife Sarah and beautiful children.
Good luck and take care..........Lesley x

Thank you Gordon. Thanks to you and this Labour goverment we now have a much better NHS and more employment rights. I spent most of my childhood and teenage years under a Tory goverment. I really fear having them back again but at least through your hard work The Tories never gained a complete majority which is amazing considering the rubbish you were recieving from the Murdoch press. I really hope we have a Labour goverment back soon but i am sad that you will no longer be there. Good luck with the charity work. All the best.

Gordon Brown - the man who was hammered and bullied relentlessly by nearly all the press for their own narrow political agenda, who stepped into the biggest financial mess the world has ever suffered, who perfectly fulfilled his constitutional responsibilities after the election and was still accused of "squatting" - and who then laid his career down for his party and his country. A man of great principle and resolve who soldiered on, substantially improved British society, and whose leadership saved us from depression rather than recession - history will note a great Briton once the tabloid spin has moved on to Cameron and Clegg. I'll miss your leadership, the best of luck wherever you and your family find yourselves, the future's brighter for your efforts. Matt

Thank you Gordon Brown - for your dedication, and for making working class and elderly people better off and more comfortable. History will judge you more fairly than the right-wing press barons and their lackeys.

So sad to see you leave. I don't think anyone has ever been treated as unfairly. You did an exceptional job. Thank you!

Thank you for performing the second most important job in ths country with such dedication, honesty and skill. You have much to be proud of in your 13 years, and your record really speaks for itself. I applaud the values that you stand for, and how you have replicated these honest to goodness values and beliefs in your economic and social policies. Above all thank you for bringing fairness back. Social justice, fairness and equality are values which should not be fought for or aspired to. You should be immensely proud of the legacy that you leave behind. It is a legacy of hope for the many, as against the few. GORDON BROWN YOU ROCK

Dear Mr. Gordon Brown,
You're a hero of mine - you've shown tenacity and moral conviction. I think you were treated unfairly. You're utterly brilliant.
Thank you for leading us through the recession; thank you for making the effort to write to the families of those who lost their relatives in combat; thank you for helping the poor; thank you for supporting equality.
You'll be remembered as a Titan on the political scene, and as a good man.
Fondly, Gareth Lewis
