Really sorry you have been pushed to stand aside.
How ungrateful can people be, after all you have done for your country.
I just want you to know that so many of us will miss you and your steadfast hand at the tiller of the UK. If I can be so bold as to end this message with a kiss! (Sorry, Sarah just a sisterly one!)

I want to thank you for always being honest and decent, my father who is 85 always described you a a "sound man" and I think he was right. He also said recentlly that he expected to spend his old age in poverty as his own grandparents had, but thanks to the labour government of the last 13 years and your own committment to social justice he can afford a pint when he wants one and doesn't have to worry about turning up the heating, I'm sorry to see you go.

Dear Gordon - Throughout all of the turbulent years of the recent past, no matter what's happened, I've always had confidence in your ability as a leader and statesman ......... so it was with a great deal of sadness (and concern as well!) that I heard the news that you've decided to step down. You are a man of great compassion, integrity and dignity and these are rare qualities in modern British politics. David Cameron and Nick Clegg - and even your successor (whoever that might be) - will never be able to hold a candle to you. Thank you for everything. I wish you, Sarah and the boys a very happy future.

Its a shame that the vast majority of people in your own country do not recognise what you have done for us yet you are recognised for you actions on the recession and recovery around the world. Your dedication and integrity has led to improved fairness and equality to people of all levels and classes, improvements in the NHS and education.
I hope whoever takes over the Labour party has the foresight to keep you involved in some capacity for you wisdom and experience. I wish all the best for yourself and your family.

Thank you for your selfless dedication to the people of Britain; you have sacrificed your popularity and image for the long-term good of the country and even though the people of Britain are ungrateful at the moment, I hope you are recorded as one of the greatest politicians in our history. Thank you.

Gordon Brown has allowed my family opportunies that simply would not have been possible without him. I am extremely proud to have had Brown as a prime minister of this country and he will always have the support of myself and my husband. He will be missed.

Thank you for your selfless dedication to justice for all, and for everything you have done to fight the recession. The Murdoch empire has done its best to tarnish your reputation, but I will forever see you as the intelligent, capable politician that you are and always will be. As Prime Minster you were a great asset to this country. I was very sad to hear of your departure today; all the best to you and your family for the future. I hope you're well.

Thank you so much Gordon, you're a model of hard work, morality and idealism in the face of the bias of the right wing media, and the people who doubted you. You have been an inspiration to me and that is why you have inspired me to get active in my area for your party, because I think that you and your message is the type of ideals that the country needs for the future.
thank you for everything.

You did some great things, some powerful and much-needed redistribution to begin to address poverty and deliver social justice. New Labour governments have kept up with and encouraged the progressive changes within society and you have always been a crucial part of that. I'm glad you've stepped aside now, might have been better done 6 months ago. The party needs new leadership and new attitudes more open to plurality, to listening, to consistent openness. That doesn't undermine your important contribution since 1997. Take it easy, and look after those voters of Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath.

I am really saddened that it has come to this, as you have been the rock of the labour party for years. You have been pushed out by an electorate too stupid to appreciate the great work you have tirelessly dedicated yourself to, because you weren't shaped in their requisite mold. I have no faith in the british public any more because of this. I am atleast heartened in the knowledge that a libdem/conservative coalition would undoubtedly implode, and that many libdem voters will flock back to labour for the next election, not that I expect you to take much comfort from this. The media campaign against you has been absolutely vile for years now. I hope in your departing, they will atleast give you some well deserved peace. Thankyou for being my Prime Minister. I will miss you, Sarahx
